Sarah Kasanicky - 2009 Dayton Fair Queen

A message from Sarah,

My name is Sarah Kasanicky and I am your 2009 Dayton Fair Queen. I am so pleased to be serving the Dayton Fair and representing Armstrong County agriculture. The Dayton Fair is the best fair, and has been a part of my life since I was born. So that makes twenty years to date! I am from Leechburg, PA and attend Clarion University. Becoming the Dayton Fair Queen was a life changing experience for me. It was something I set out to do and something I really wanted. I worked hard and I got it! I can’t believe my dream of becoming someone of importance and being able to promote agriculture and talk about my true passions of 4-H and farming came true. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful fair to represent and I wouldn’t have a fair to represent if it was not for everyone’s hard work each and every year to make the fair happen; so thank you.

So far as Queen I have attended various fairs such as the Westmorland Fair, Centre County Fair, Indiana County Fair, Clarion Autumn Leaf Festival, Leechburg town events, Keystone International Livestock Exposition, the Kittanning Light Up night parade, Stockholders Meeting, Dayton Livestock Buyers Appreciation Banquet, Achievement Night for 4-Hers that show at Dayton and participate in this through the extension office.
I hope to see everyone at more events and parades. Good luck in everything you may do! The best changes often start as a single, simple thought. Think big, and discover the ways to make your dreams a reality.

With Sincere Love,
Sarah Kasanicky
